Sung passionately by spiritual voices Kanwar Grewal and Rza Heer, and written by Vari Rai, the track echoes the sentiment that Nanak belongs to all — transcending religions, divisions, and boundaries. Jaskirat Singh's masterful music arrangement brings together the soul of traditional Punjabi folk with the depth of divine love, creating a heartfelt symphony that resonates across the world.
The video, directed by Harman Dhillon, with vivid cinematography by Garry Singh and seamless editing by Gobindpuriya, brings to life the message of unity and acceptance. Featuring compelling performances by Jarnail Singh, Dimple Bhinder, Gurdas Singh Gill, Baldev Patwari, and Rimpy, the visuals beautifully depict the universality of Nanak’s teachings. The project was led by producers Manpreet Singh Gurdas and Gurjit Singh Ghuman, with creative mentorship from Baljit Singh Deo, ensuring that every frame and every note reflect the essence of Guru Nanak’s message of love and equality.
Musically, "Nanak Hai Nanak Mera" was elevated by a rich orchestral score recorded by the Budapest Scoring Orchestra at Rottenbiller Hall, Budapest, with orchestration by Sanjay R A and conducted by Abel Tompa and Peter Illenyi. The recording was produced by Balint Sapszon, ensuring that the sound carries the majesty of the message.
The song also features beautiful guitars by Saby, slide guitar by Amritanshu Dutta, bass guitars by Abhishek Madhyastha, rabab and mandolin by Ravinder Singh (Rinku Ji), and flute by Flutepreet, all woven together with percussions by Vinayak Rathod. Backing vocals, directed by Bakhshish Rajput and performed by a talented team including Harry Bhullar, Elizabeth Alfred, and Sanskriti Sharma, add a celestial harmony.
